Our academic programme is specifically tailored to meet the needs of the pupil both academically and personally while having a firm eye on their post-16 destinations. Consequently, everything we deliver has purpose. For KS4 pupils, all of our qualifications are either GCSEs or GCSE equivalent, Progress-8 qualification and are chosen for relevance, accessibility, and contribution towards the career goals of our pupils. Alongside our Progress-8 qualifications, we bring in other agencies such as Step2 and Build-A-Girl, organisations who we’ve partnered with for years. These organisations deliver essential work with our pupils around PSHE topics such as sexual health, sexual safety, exploitation, and drug use.

This year, alongside adding support for GCSE Biology, we will also be slowly rolling out an introduction to Artificial Intelligence. While this is not a qualification, the purpose behind this is to prepare pupils for the dangers and opportunities inherent in AI and the ways in which they themselves can leverage the technology to their advantage.

We strive to re-engage pupils with their learning and get them back on track academically and personally in the hopes to potentially reintegrate pupils back into a mainstream setting with a renewed outlook on their learning. It is clear though that sometimes it may not be in a pupil’s best interests to return to a mainstream setting and in this instance we also offer longer term placements within our settings.

Programme Duration

As an “unregistered setting”, pupils cannot be referred to us for a full-time programme. However, pupils can be sent to our provision part-time be that for three days per week, across more days but fewer hours, or in partnership with our sister provision, PiPeLine Keighley, to cover the entirety of the pupil’s week. However you want to structure the educational week for your pupil, we will ensure that both our provision and you as a school remain fully compliant with all legalities and regulations from Ofsted and the DfE.

Pupils in any year other than year 11 can be referred at any time in the academic year, with us offering preferential rates for referrals made earlier in the year. The sooner a pupil is referred to us, the greater chance the pupil has of successfully completing our qualifications.

We generally do not take year 11 pupils after January but we do make exceptions, especially where a strong need is demonstrated.
